Meet our Pastor

Welcome to Pastor Eric Bakken!

From our new Pastor: I was born in 1957, the third child to Sue and Neal Bakken of Cambridge, WI. My father was a bricklayer, and my mother was a homemaker. I graduated from Cambridge High School in 1975. In high school I participated in Band, Basketball, Drama, Football, Golf and Track.

I attended and graduated from the University of WI-LaCrosse in 1980 with a B.S. in Education. I also had a minor in Minority Studies.

I entered Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN in 1980 and graduated with a M.A. degree in Church History and Pastoral Counseling. I served as Campus Pastor at the Univ. MN-Morris from 1983-1995.

I married Ramie on February 7, 1991 (we eloped to NYC). We have three children (Marit, Rikka, and Kjell) and I have two daughters from a previous marriage (Jessica and Nisa).

I Graduated from Luther Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in 1995 and served as pastor at North Crow River Lutheran Church, Cokato, MN (1995-1998); as a Mission Developer pastor at Peace Lutheran Church, Eyota, MN (1998-2003); as Sr. Pastor at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black River Falls, WI (2003-2019); and at West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, Stoughton, WI (2019-present).

In January of 2024 I began serving Rockdale Lutheran. My hobbies are golfing, playing my guitars, riding my Harley, watching the Brewers, Packers and Badgers, and world travel (I've been to 38 countries and all 50 states).

And we are so happy to welcome him into our church! Thank you for your service and contributions so far, Pastor Eric.
